About Pearson Funeral Service

Pearson Funeral Service traces its origins back to the 1920s. It was in 1920 that 23 year old Alfred Bagley Established a joinery business and funeral service in the village of Marsden.

Alfreds son, Peter joined the business, eventually taking over in 1962. Due to changes within the business and people no longer wishing for their loved ones to remain at home, a chapel of rest was built and opened in 1957. The firm was taken over in 2003 by my self when Peter took semi-retirement.

In 2006 a new chapel of rest was opened in the village of Meltham and in 2007 a chapel of rest was opened in Holmfirth. I run the business with my wife Leanne and both our parents now help out within the business. Together we serve the local communities throughout Huddersfield and Saddleworth.

Our families reputation has been built on trust and recommendation and we are known as the family firm who care.
