As frequent and enthusiastic visitors of the National Railway Museum we were thrilled to see that Loco 4498 Sir Nigel Gresley has now got the boiler and is starting once again to look like a steam train. Our local blacksmith Luke Matthews from Marsden has been involved in making some parts for this train.
We were pleased to be asked again to place a Christmas tree at Meltham Methodist Church. The tree this year was created by Peter Pearson with a modern twist. Look out for where the tree will be going next.
We were pleased to sponsor Marsden Girls Football Club Under 10’s and provide them with training jackets to keep them warm and dry. As they have only formed this year we shall be keeping an eye on their progress. Good luck to all.
As part of our service we offer floral tributes and get asked to do all kinds of different arrangements. This bespoke arrangement of a Landrover was asked for recently which the family were delighted with.
We were pleased to attend the act of remembrance with Marsden Junior School where two minutes silence was held followed by the children singing Stand By Me.
